Helpful Tips
- Freeze the fruit for a frostier drink (bananas can last up to 6 months in an airtight container in the freezer, strawberries up to 2 months).
- Avoid sweetened frozen fruit as this adds calories and may make the drink too syrupy sweet.
- Trouble getting the frozen Yogurt out of the container? Tear off the foil cap (important!) and then microwave for about 20 seconds. Use a long handled spoon to scoop it out from the bottom. Some customers have suggested turning the yogurt into "yogurt cubes" in your freezer's ice tray.
- Drink too thick? Add more juice, lemonade, or water.
- Drink too thin? Add more fruit, a couple ice cubes or yogurt cubes or some tofu.
- Drink too tart? Add a packet of sweetener.
- Drink too sweet? Add lemonade or a small spoonful of lemon juice.
Variations
- Use peaches, blueberries, apple slices, or more bananas in place of strawberries or combine them. You may need to vary the liquid depending on the juiciness of the fruit.
- Use fresh bananas and 1-2 ice cubes instead of frozen bananas.
- You may want to add a dash of cinnamon, and one or more of nutmeg, cloves, ginger, or vanilla.
